We are currently seeking Trade Qualified Light Vehicle Motor Mechanics to join our team. You will be responsible for performing vehicle / equipment repairs and maintenance work as outlined by the manufacturer with efficiency and accuracy and in accordance with factory standard. You must be able to effectively communicate with the parts departments, service advisors to ensure we are able to keep our customers informed on the progress of their vehicle / equipment. Job Description:
Salary: $98,800 plus superannuation
Qualifications & Experience:
Certificate III or certificate IV or equivalent plus 3 years of experience
Drivers licence
Task and Duties include (but not limited to)
· Routine scheduled services and maintenance repairs (necessary and preventative maintenance) on light vehicles including lubricant and filter changes, ensuring the vehicle complies with environmental emission controls.
· Fault diagnosis and resolution.
· Capabilities included diagnosing, removing, and dismantling of engines, transmissions, suspension, brake, steering components, and replacement of same components.
· Proficient in analysing computer diagnostics and the reading of fault codes.
· Be able to interpret and fault find through service manuals.
· Maintain accurate records of work completed.
· Ensure quality control measures are adhered to, ensuring vehicle roadworthiness.
· Be able to communicate with management and to be able to prioritise work in a sometimes very busy and challenging environment.
• Ensure vehicle repairs and/or maintenance requirements as per the repair order are carried out to the highest standards.
• Plan each job for maximum efficiency. Order parts (where necessary) from Parts Department immediately.
• Maintain a sound knowledge of all products and services.
Perform other duties as requested by management.
Only fully qualified and experienced applicants will be considered.
