Our client, a reputable family-owned dealership group, is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join their team in the Whitsundays region.
As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicles to manufacturer standards, providing expert advice on mechanical conditions, and ensuring all necessary work is reported and recorded accurately.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and diagnose issues
- Perform repairs and maintenance to manufacturer standards
- Provide expert advice on vehicle condition and recommend necessary repairs
- Record all work, services, and repairs using in-house databases or reporting systems
- Train and mentor apprentices in vehicle repair and maintenance
- Communicate effectively with guests regarding vehicle status and repairs
- Conduct road tests and final assessments prior to vehicle delivery or return
- Ensure compliance with OH&S policies and procedures
**Requirements:**
- Qualifications as an Automotive Technician (Cert III in Light Vehicle Mechanical)
- Minimum 3 years' experience post-trade qualification
- Manual driver's license
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- High attention to detail
- Full Australian working rights
