About the role:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dispensary Technician to join our community pharmacy team. As our Lead Dispensary Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacists, ensuring the accurate dispensing of medications, and delivering outstanding customer service. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our customers and contribute to the success of our pharmacy.

Responsibilities:

Assist pharmacists in accurately dispensing prescription medications and over-the-counter products. Prepare prescription orders, including counting, measuring, and labelling medications, following all regulatory requirements and pharmacy protocols. Maintain inventory levels by monitoring stock levels, ordering medications and supplies, and conducting regular stock checks. Provide friendly and knowledgeable customer service, answering questions, offering product recommendations, and addressing customer concerns. Manage & prepare Dose Administration Aids for community patients. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including pharmacy laws, privacy requirements, and medication safety protocols. Collaborate with pharmacists and other team members to maintain a clean, organised, and efficient pharmacy environment. Assist with administrative tasks, such as maintaining patient records, filing paperwork, scheduling appointments and reporting.

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a Dispensary Technician or pharmacy assistant. Certificate III in Community Pharmacy or equivalent qualification is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, including prescription processing, medication dispensing, and inventory management. Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a friendly and empathetic demeaner. Attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks, especially in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with pharmacy software systems (Minfos) is an advantage. Must be reliable, trustworthy, and committed to upholding professional standards and ethical principles in healthcare.

TWC Bundaberg is located in central Bundaberg, and has a core team of four, working across Dispensary and Front of Shop.
