Assistant Professor of Mathematics and Systems Engineering

Responsibilities:
Develop a research program with an international stature and scholarly recognition through publications and other modes of disseminating ideas Develop a robust portfolio of externally funded support for research and training Supervise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students Teach three single-semester courses per year, usually at the upper-division and graduate levels. Develop and deliver course materials to students in traditional, hybrid, and online platforms demonstrating teaching excellence and high-impact scholarship Contribute both institutionally and professionally through active serviceQualifications:
Ph.D. degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research or Systems Engineering by the start of the appointment. Applicants who can establish interdisciplinary collaborations and industry connections through their research program. Having a post-doctoral and/or funded research experience is a plus.Expected Salary: Salary commensurate with education and experience

Department of Mathematics and Systems Engineering (MSE) is in the College of Engineering. Currently, in addition to the BS, MS and Ph.D. programs in Applied Mathematics, the MSE department offers MS and Ph.D. degrees in Systems Engineering and Operations Research for on-campus students. MSE also offers highly successful MS programs in Systems Engineering for corporate employees and a virtual program in OR. More information about the department can be found at
