Our client is looking for an experienced and organized Chef’s to join the team on a casual contract, full time hours available, preparing delicious meals for their loyal customers
Duties & responsibilities:
  • Prepare and arrange the kitchen's equipment and utensils for daily operations, ensuring machinery is properly set up and the temperature log is reviewed and completed.
  • Follow the recipes and ensure necessary ingredients are sourced, while monitoring inventory levels and placing orders as necessary.
  • Communicate daily specials and estimated wait times to the wait staff.
  • Ensure timely preparation of food with an emphasis on attractive plate presentation.
  • Follow established procedures and standards for cooking and cleaning kitchen equipment.
  • Receive and store supplies from suppliers as required.
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.
Experience & attributes:
  • Certificate IV or higher in Commercial Cookery qualification
  • Prior Chef experience
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes
  • Great communication skills with waiting and kitchen staff
  • Neat personal presentation
  • Ability to work in a busy-paced kitchen
  • Multitasking ability
