ABOUT THE ROLE 
We are searching for a talented and enthusiastic individual to join our OpenDoor team as a Planning Manager. This is a Full-Time position based in Sydney. This role plays a crucial part in supporting WPP's mission to deliver consistency, delivery excellence and best in class service for Amazon in every country across its diverse businesses, including XCM, Prime Video, and RMI.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Receive and interrogate client briefs, understanding both business and communications objectives
·       Proactively engage with media partners to maintain knowledge of the media landscape and understanding of core media principles and the capabilities of each media touchpoint.
·       Engage with internal product teams including GroupM proprietary product and service teams to ensure you have an understanding about their offerings and relevance to our clients.
·       Support the Identification and define audiences that drive outcomes for campaign briefs within single source.
·       Report on audience media consumption trends and habits.
·       Support in channel ideation and tactics within campaign planning.
·       Support the creation of consumer journeys across paid media
·       Have a POV on media planning principles (e.g., scheduling, flighting, recency, effective reach theories, seasonality, market prioritisation, roles of all communication channels) and strong ability to utilise agency and industry tools to enhance and support planned recommendation.
·       Responsible for leading planning responses to brief; working with the strategy team to create actionable comms tasks

o   addressing those comms task with the relevant roles of media/channel
o   exploring the tactics within each channel that unlock the short- and long-term objectives.
o   ensuring all work is measurable back to brand and business outcome

•Understand sufficiency of investments within channel to ensure effective use of channels within client recommendations.
•Have a basic understanding of marketing science and how it influences decision making with media planning.
•Deliver internal thought leadership to the team.
•Have an interest in innovation through media and emerging channels support the creation of measurement frameworks and learning agenda to ensure media and recommendation effectiveness.
M1 - Leadership: 

·       Ensure all new team members are onboarded correctly in line with the Enboarder workflow.
·       Manage the day-to-day activities of the team to ensure that SOX controls, SLAs and KPIs are adhered to.
·       Manage leave and team absences to ensure coverage for team responsibilities and minimal impact to remaining team members.
·       Motivate the team to achieve individual, team and organizational goals.
·       Develop and train team members to ensure they reach their potential.
·       Empower team members with skills to improve their confidence, product knowledge, and communication skills.
·       Conduct fortnightly/monthly; 1:1 check-ins, annual Career Conversations and Annual Performance Reviews through Culture Amp.
·       Liaise with the People Team to resolve all team disputes to ensure a safe and productive team environment.
·       Create and foster a cohesive team environment through team activities and cultural moments.

QUALIFICATIONS

·       Advanced practical knowledge of Media Planning
·       Requires a minimum of 5 years of experience.
·       Relevant qualification in Media or Marketing
·       Experience leading Projects or a qualification in Project Management
