About the Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Allied Health team as a Allied Health Assistant: Occupational Therapy, where you will be responsible for:

  • Day to day service provision to support patient care activities for inpatients, outpatients and outreach services of the hospital
  • Direct patient care under the supervision of Allied Health professionals
  • The safe and effective supervision of patients within the outpatient clinics including Hand Therapy and Burns/Scar Management.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Certificate 4 in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent, or be enrolled and working towards this certificate
  • Demonstrated high level communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Initiative in carrying out routine tasks without direction and to report issues requiring attention.
  • Physical strength, flexibility and endurance sufficient for manual handling of patients and equipment.
  • Experience in a patient care setting or in assisting a health care professional
