The Opportunity: 

Urbis has an exciting opportunity for a Business Systems Analyst to join us on a 6-month contract in our Melbourne office

In this role you be involved across all phases of enterprise application projects' lifecycle, where you will focus on functional design, user journey mapping and configuration as well as supporting testing and training. You will also provide ongoing enterprise application support, liaising with relevant vendors and stakeholders to identify and resolve any issues and deliver enhancements.

As a key member of the Technology and Development Team, you will help continuously capture new business requirements and translate this into technical specifications.

Some of the key enterprise applications this role will support (but not limited to) are:

  • Customer Resource Management (Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM)
  • Human Resources Information System (IntelliHR)
  • ERP/ Practice Management system (BST)
  • Document Management/Business Process Management System (SharePoint)

You will:

  • Maintaining the enterprise application systems in consultation with the T&D team;
  • Supporting all project lifecycle phases on enterprise applications projects;
  • Providing advice and recommendations to business users demonstrating specific subject matter expertise to influence outcomes;
  • Providing second-level user support for enterprise application issues, troubleshooting and user inquiries;
  • Collaborating with vendors on defects, process improvements and version upgrades,
  • Collaborating within the T&D team to ensure integrations, configurations, testing and security requirements are adhered to;
  • Managing information flow, including the integrity, efficiency, and availability of data;
  • Supporting the creation and ongoing maintenance of user training documentation, including new hires and re-training and upskilling of employees

About you:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Engineering or Management Information Systems/Science or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Business Analyst, Applications System Analyst, Applications Support Analyst or suitably similar position,
  • Previous experience in managing the continuous improvement of enterprise applications (Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, HRIS systems preferred)
  • Experience with modelling and mapping “as is” and “to be” business processes
  • Experience working with IT Vendors in the submission and prioritisation of application enhancements, version upgrades and other fixes
  • Advanced understanding of application and database architectures and relationships required
  • Advanced skills in the Microsoft Office suite (particularly Excel, SharePoint, Teams)
  • Strong attention to detail and problem solving capabilities
