Retail Supervisor/ Cook/ Barista

Kungfu Enterprise Pty Ltd t/as Katherine General Store, we are an one-stop Asian destination for delicious food and Asian groceries located in Katherine, NT 0850. We are now seeking multiple positions to join the team immediately.

1/ RETAIL SUPERVISOR

• Ensures standards and procedures for quality, customer service and health and safety are met
• Manages retail staff, organize working plan and time schedule for everyone, specify and assign duties on a daily basis
• Be responsible for coaching, counselling, recruiting, training and disciplining retail staff
• Identifies the current and future situations of our retailing market then helps to instruct retail staff on standard and variable sales procedures
• Inspects goods if returned by customers, reacts accordingly and properly based on contract
• Manages stock level, restores goods to sell and orders new goods to ensure inventory balance
• Prices products on sale and manages the display shelves
• Maintains the sales procedure to ensure it meets the safety and security requirements from local laws and rules
• Handles complaints and issues and inquiries from customers regarding quality and specifications of our products

2/ COOK

• Check the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met.
• Recognize superior quality products, presentations and flavor.
• Operate large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, ovens, deep-fat fryers, or griddles. Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.).
• Portion food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes.
• Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served.
• Ensure all food and other items are stored properly.
• Get customers’ orders and prepare food to meet special dietary requirements.
• Assist in developing daily and seasonal menu items for the restaurant, create and prepare recipes and meals.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Participates in training restaurant staff on menu items including ingredients, preparation methods and unique tastes.

3/ BARISTA

• Mixing, serving, and selling a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, including cocktails, mixed beverages, and bottled or canned options.
• Selecting and grinding coffee beans. Preparing and serving different types of coffee drinks, such as lattes, cappuccinos, and other espresso-based beverages.
• Handling payments and operating the cash register.
• Promoting and marketing various products and services to customers.
• Keeping bar and coffee preparation areas clean and maintaining espresso machines.
• Setting up supply lines and machines, equipment.
• Refilling drink dispensers, shelves, and refrigerators.
• Offering light snacks for sale.

What we offer:

• Annual Salary from $55,000 to $65,000 plus super with 38 working hours per week.
• Job Type: Full-time

Other requirements:

• The candidate must have extensive knowledge of retail management, F&B industry and minimum 2 years’ relevant experiences or 1 year experience in Australia.
• Reliable, organized and willing to work hard.
• The candidate should have general knowledge and experience how to work and live in remote aboriginal communities in NT.
