ABOUT THE ROLE
⦁ Provide expert advice using analytics and insights derived from up-to-date spatial and non-spatial data to enhance decision-making and project outcomes.
⦁ Safeguard the security and integrity of sensitive geospatial data by implementing and enforcing strong security protocols, continuously monitoring risks, and addressing potential vulnerabilities.
⦁ Deliver strategic analysis and geographical visualisation while thoroughly assessing and managing confidential data before project initiation.
⦁ Engage with stakeholders to customise the GIS system to meet organisational requirements, including updating software and developing mapping applications tailored to team needs.
⦁ Participate in procurement and governance panels to discuss new technologies, share knowledge, and optimise vendor relationships and project delivery.
⦁ Strategically plan for GIS system expansion and integration with other platforms, collaborating with stakeholders and implementing policies to manage an increasing user base.
⦁ Oversee efficient and bespoke data retrieval in appropriate formats, ensuring data accessibility and adherence to established standards.
⦁ Maintain and optimise GIS infrastructure, overseeing GIS data management processes, and ensuring the system aligns with security protocols and departmental needs.
⦁ Contribute to the continuous improvement of GIS capabilities, supporting the department’s diverse needs while adhering to data protection regulations and maintaining comprehensive documentation.

ABOUT YOU
You are an experienced GIS Analyst with a strong background in property data management. You are highly analytical, with the ability to provide strategic insights that drive decision-making and project success. Your skills in stakeholder engagement, customisation of GIS systems, and maintaining data integrity make you an ideal fit for this role.

⦁ Extensive experience in managing and maintaining geospatial data, particularly in the government / property sector.
⦁ Strong expertise in spatial analysis, data visualisation, and the development of customised GIS solutions.
⦁ Proven ability to establish and enforce security policies for sensitive geospatial data.
⦁ Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, providing expert advice and developing tailored GIS solutions.
⦁ Ability to plan and implement GIS system expansion and integration strategies, optimising workflows and data accessibility.
⦁ Knowledge of procurement processes and governance related to GIS technology.
