About the Role:

As a Senior Cloud Operations Engineer you will be responsible for maintaining cloud infrastructure in BAU. This role involves monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing cloud resources in order to ensure maximum uptime and performance. You will also be the Lead for two additional Cloud Ops Engineers and act as Integration Lead. There may be discretionary build work required from time to time.

You will also be working with cloud providers to manage and configure cloud resources, monitoring performance and availability of cloud resources, setting up automatic scaling, load balancing, and disaster recovery strategies, and performing system updates and patches.

You will optimize the performance of our systems through team collaboration of hardware and software configurations. Dive deep to resolve problems at their root, looking for failure patterns amenable to long-term solutions. You will work closely with other operations staff, engineering and client services to ensure cloud services are available 24 x 7.

About You:

    • Managed Services experience preferred as primary responsibilities are BAU support
    • Ability to support cloud and on-premise workloads.
    • Demonstrated experience in AWS (preferred), Azure, image management and Identity.
    • Operating at a level 3 capacity.
    • 5+ years of experience working within a Microsoft Environment.
    • Linux - at least 5 years experience.
    • Exposure to CITRIX would be highly valued.
    • Customer support - at least 5 years experience.
    • A demonstrated history of taking initiative and understanding of operating in a compliance environment.
    • Proficient with automation using Power shell/UNIX shell/Ansible/Fabric.
    • Exceptional Consulting and Communication Skills.
    • Ability to interpret and present results to stakeholders at all levels.
    • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
    • Ability to prioritise and control workload.
    • Demonstrated collaboration skills and a successful track record in building strong relationships with business and technology stakeholder
