About the role: This position supports our Customer Commercial and Engagement team, focusing on strategy and relations to enhance our brand and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement the direction set by leadership, completing allocated tasks effectively.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve collective goals and contribute to a culture of service excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with WHS roles and responsibilities, promoting safety and wellbeing.
  • Manage and resolve customer complaints, ensuring high-quality, timely responses.
  • Author and develop informative documents for various stakeholders, including the Minister and Senior Leadership Team.
  • Provide expert advice and support across the organization in managing complaints and ministerial responses.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of correspondence and ensure accuracy in all documentation.
  • Foster relationships with key stakeholders to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify and implement improvements in processes, systems, and customer engagement strategies.

About You:

  • Qualifications and Experience:

    • Tertiary qualifications in policy, communications, business, or a related field, or proven relevant experience.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver within tight deadlines with limited direction.
    • High level of written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interpret and explain policy and procedures.
    • Proven experience in undertaking complex investigations and providing exemplary customer advisory services.
    • Ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders, service providers, and customers.
  • Desirable Skills:

    • Professional membership to SOCAP or a similar organisation.
    • Experience authoring complex documents, including reports and parliamentary briefs.
    • Strong knowledge of government processes, Cabinet, and Parliament.

Special Conditions:

  • Flexible working hours, including some after-hours and interstate travel.
  • Current driver's licence required.
  • Initial and subsequent medical clearances, including relevant immunisations.
  • Clearance checks such as criminal police check, traffic check, and Working with Children or Vulnerable People checks.
