About Our Client

My client is a leading property management company headquartered in Brisbane.

They have been in operation for a number of years and are the market leader in their space.

Enjoying significant, sustainable growth in recent years, they have continued to grow and expand their Accounting team.They are based within a 5 minute walk from Central Station & work from modern offices.This is a newly created role due to the growth of the business.

Job Description

The Team Leader role will be responsible for both financial control & operation for a portfolio of properties, as well as managing a team of 2-3 direct reports.

Key duties include:- Preparation and review of P&L, balance sheet & cash flow statements for your portfolio of properties

- Supporting with the annual audit process

- Partner with Property Managers in explaining finance terms, supporting them with budgets, forecasts etc.

- Contributing to the budgeting & forecasting process for the office

- Managing, leading, supporting and training your team

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will have:

- A recognised accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA)

- Experience leading a team - preferably direct reports, but mentoring exposure will be considered

- Experience in a multi-entity environment with a complex set of accounts.

- Budgeting & forecasting experience

- Full working rights within Australia
