About the role

In this unique as an Occupational Therapy adviser, you will:

Provide an internal point of escalation for Occupational Therapy clinical advice. Advise DVA business areas the on appropriateness of clinical treatment, including provisions of aids and appliances within the DVA health entitlements regime. Provide specialised clinical, business and policy advice to DVA policy and programs staff. Provide advice in support of program and provider audit/reviews under an agreed assurance procedural framework. Respond to queries from DVA business areas regarding health evidence. Liaise with external providers in relation to requests for services under an agreed procedural framework

About you

We’re looking for OTs keen to move into a role without direct patientcontact to work within a multidisciplinary team. Positions are located in theDVA Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne CBD office on a part time permanent basis.

We’re looking for someone who has:

Relevant tertiary qualifications. Unrestricted AHPRA registration. At least 5 years current clinical experience patient facing. Strong critical analytical skills. Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with both clinical and non-clinical professionals. Demonstrated sensitivity and judgement in dealing with client related issues. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a productive team member. You must be an Australian citizen and be willing to attain a police check as part of the background process
