The Inclusion Support Assistant role in co-operation with the Director and other educators supports in the delivery of our programs and the facilitation of inclusion for all children in the service environment. The purpose of the position is to reduce the educator to child ratio, which allows for increased small group and individual support from the team of educators for all children. The Inclusion Support Assistant will be employed primarily during hours that children with additional needs are accessing the program.

The Inclusion support assistant will work closely with all educators, children and families. They may work more closely with children with additional needs and their families as supported and directed by the Director/Teacher.

At C&K Coomera Community Kindergarten we have four kindy groups to choose from. All groups ensure children receive the same number of hours of education across the year. The groups have a maximum of 22 children and are led by an experienced and qualified early childhood teacher. We operate during QLD school terms and are closed for school holidays, public holidays and some pupil free days.

Group 1A: Monday and Tuesday, 8:00am to 3:30pm Group 1B: Thursday, Friday and alternate Wednesdays, 8:30am to 2:30pm Group 2A: Monday, Tuesday and alternate Wednesdays, 8:30am to 2:30pm Group 2B: Thursday, Friday and alternate Wednesdays, 8:30am to 2:30pm

Ideal candidates will have:

Certificate III in early childhood or equivalent or higher (recognised by ACECQA as an early childhood teaching qualification) Although not necessary but preferable. Current paid or Exemption Blue Card Current First Aid, CPR and Asthma and Anaphylaxis

Evidence of sound professional experience that shows initiative and strong sense of personal responsibility for meeting objectives, modelling of professional and ethical behaviour, commitment to personal development; and display or courage in the provision of advice and decision making.
