The Opportunity:
 

The NLIS Onboarding Specialist will support the current DMEL project team and provide technical advice, and organisational support for current and future customers to the NLIS environment.
 

Reporting to the Deputy Director Maritime Assurance Program, the NLIS SME & Onboarding Team are accountable for providing customer liaison and support, and ongoing data analysis support within target ship-class enterprises.

Responsibilities:
 

As part of the NLIS SME & Onboarding Team, you will provide ongoing NLIS advice & support for DMEL customers, users, and stakeholders, including but not limited to:

  • Liaise with current and future customers to the NLIS environment to assess and understand requirements.
  • Coordinate and communicate between internal and external stakeholders across configuration management, asset management, engineering, and integrated logistics support disciplines.
  • Apply best practice project management methodologies to deliver ICT systems, data and processes to Defence customers throughout the capability lifecycle.
  • Apply configuration and asset management principles to provide functional guidance to Defence customers to achieve a successful transition to service.
  • Continuous review and improvement of the customer engagement model and the on-boarding process for new Defence customers.

As the ideal candidate you will bring:

Essential:

  • Degree in Business, Engineering or IT, or significant relevant work experience.
  • Experience in Defence Systems Environment (understanding/previous experience in NLIS is highly regarded)
  • Highly developed relationship skills and stakeholder management experience.

All candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active Negative Vetting 1 Security Clearance. Only candidates holding a NV1 Clearance or above should apply.
