We are seeking a dedicated Signalling Electrician to join our team working on the Brisbane Airport Rail Link, an 8.7km elevated railway with two stations for passengers at the Domestic and International Airports. This is your chance to be part of a project that ensures the safety and integrity of the rail line that connects the Brisbane Airport with the Queensland Rail network.

About the role
As a Signalling Electrician, you will perform inspections, assessments and maintenance of the track and associated equipment to maintain the safety and integrity of the Brisbane Airport Rail Link for safe passenger trains. Your duties will include:

• Maintenance of engineering systems, plant, equipment, and depot facilities.
• Routine inspections, maintenance and repair activities on signalling, electrical and mechanical infrastructure.
• Attending to failures including identifying and report on cause of failure.
• Respond to afterhours signalling, electrical and mechanical call outs to system failures and incidents affecting train services.
• Assist with developing improvement maintenance plans, technical instructions, and procedures to improve productivity.
• Provide on the job assistance and knowledge to other team members.

Required skills and experience

• Unrestricted Electrical Workers licence / Electrical mechanics Licence QLD
• Current CPR LVR
• Cert IV in Railway signalling
• Construction white card
• Current drivers’ licence
• Rail Safety Worker Category 2
• Must be able to be on call on alternating weekends
• Have full working rights in Australia
