About you

The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing safe, effective and appropriate patient care in a patient-focused environment. Reports to the Nurse Unit Manager, working under the direction of Level 2 RNs. This position is based on the Surgical Ward at Calvary St Luke's Private Hospital including Orthopaedic/ENT and Day Ward and Pre-admission clinic. Paediatric experience is favourable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Function within a multi disciplinary team and provide assistance whenever needed.
  • Function in accordance with legislation and policy relevant to practice.
  • Protect the rights of patients while respecting values, customs and spiritual beliefs.

What you bring

  • AHPRA Registration with a current practising certificate. 
  • Demonstrated recent clinical experience in an acute care and/or hospital setting.
  • Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated communication, interpersonal skills and customer service skills.
  • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation.
