Client & Engineer:
 
Engineering company that work within the heavy and Bulk machinery space (hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical) are looking to hire a Mechanical Design Engineer.

Reporting into the Engineering Manager you will be required to combine your engineering skills with practical experience to produce 3D design solutions for your dedicated portfolio of clients. 

The position will also involve liaising with clients, external stakeholders and managing specific assignments therefore excellent planning, project management and communication skills are essential.
 

Job:

  • Evaluate customer specifications and determine solutions to improve their projects
  • Produce 3d engineering CAD designs, models and assembly drawings – Siemens NX or similar CAD software (Solidworks, Inventor)
  • Utilise Project Planning Tools (MS Project to maintain Gantt charts that assist with the efficiency of production, manufacturing, design and drafting) 
  • Focusing on Continuous Improvement
  • Ensure projects comply with Australia standards and codes
  • Provide timely and technical advice to your allocated clients
  • Occasional contract management & assistance with tender preparation
  • Accurate weekly and monthly reports of project process using divisional reporting formats
  • You will be required to liaise with other divisions, supply chain, sales and logistics and more

 
To apply you will have:

  • Full working rights in Australia
  • At least 5 years design experience 
  • Excellent 3d design and detailing skills
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills
  • Deep knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical design and engineering
  • Ability to record own BOM’s

Salary:

Our client offers competitive remuneration packages, they vary with regards to experience, $80,000 to $100,000 + Super.
