About the Role:

Fitzroy Mining Operations Pty is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineering Manager to oversee the mechanical engineering function for the Ironbark No.1 Mine. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with mechanical engineering standards and legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance on approved projects to operational peers
  • Drive a work environment that is planned and predictable, resulting in safe and efficient execution of all mechanical engineering work
  • Oversee the mechanical engineering function, ensuring compliance with standards and legislative requirements

About You:

We are looking for a candidate with a relevant mechanical trade and/or mechanical engineering qualification, with experience working within underground coal mining. You will have a high level of understanding and knowledge of CMMS systems, equipment reliability trending analysis, and interpretation of VA & thermography reports.

Requirements:

  • Relevant mechanical trade and/or mechanical engineering qualification
  • Experience working within underground coal mining
  • Significant maintenance experience with fixed and mobile mining equipment
  • Experience in planning & execution techniques, ICAM, and/or RCA
  • Certificate of Competence
  • High level of understanding and knowledge of CMMS systems
  • Equipment reliability trending analysis
  • Interpretation of VA & thermography reports
