The Opportunity
Come and discover the opportunity to join our Hot Mills Engineering team at our Port Kembla Manufacturing facility as a Process Engineer. As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio, we have six major manufacturing sites at Port Kembla that deliver a variety of products, innovative solutions and services to our export and domestic customers.
As a Process Engineer, you will provide support to the day-to-day operations of the various Hot Mills plants, as well as investigating and implementing process improvement projects, whilst championing a safety-first culture. You will also contribute to the deliver of capital projects within Hot Mills, both on time and to budget.
With your willingness to learn, we will support you with on-going training and development. Located in Port Kembla, NSW – this role works Monday to Friday, day shift.
You will have the unique opportunity to acquire invaluable exposure to a broad variety of systems, equipment and business areas, all while being a part of Australia’s largest steel solutions provider.
What Will You Do?
With your analytical, hands-on approach you will:
- provide process engineering support for the day-to-day operations of the plant
- investigate and implement process improvement projects
- work collaboratively with other engineering disciplines to deliver capital projects
- deliver continuous improvement outcomes to support the production and supply of our products
- be a part of the process engineering network across BlueScope’s various sites
