Hatch is a global leader in engineering and project delivery, committed to making a positive impact on the world. We're seeking a highly motivated Graduate Mechanical and Piping Engineer to join our team in Wollongong.

About the Role

As a Graduate Mechanical and Piping Engineer, you will be responsible for preparing engineering calculations, project standard specifications, and design criteria. You will also manage packages through their whole life cycle, from specifying requirements to expediting and reviewing vendor data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare engineering calculations for hydraulic and conveying systems, as well as static equipment such as tanks, pressure vessels, bins, and chutes.
  • Prepare project standard specifications and design criteria.
  • Manage packages through their whole life cycle, from specifying requirements to expediting and reviewing vendor data.
  • Work with designers to provide engineering input to 3D model and drawing development.
  • Respond to technical queries raised during the construction phase and commissioning of systems on site as required.

Requirements

We are looking for candidates with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, strong leadership and teamwork skills, advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to think laterally and innovatively. Flexibility to travel and work in locations within Australia and internationally is a bonus, but not essential.
