About Our Client
Our client is a multi-awarding winning Australian food manufacturing business with decades of experience and a household Australian name. As they continue to grow they are on the lookout for a dynamic individual to join their Customer Service team.
About The Role
This role will involve delivering effective telephone support to customers to boost sales, leverage scripts and enhance product knowledge. Our client is seeking an individual who has strong communication skills and has experience in customer service and sales.
Responsibilities
- Complete the daily telecall cycle, process orders accurately, and maintain statistics on call numbers and results.
- Encourage customers to purchase our client's products, upselling and promoting new lines and innovations.
- Drive sales for weekly and monthly promotions and proactively identify opportunities for short shelf life products.
- Ask questions to understand customer requirements, close sales, and provide customer service to existing clients.
- Handle and resolve customer and service complaints, and direct prospects to State Managers when appropriate.
- Enter and update customer information in the database and perform other duties as directed.
Skills And Expertise
- Minimum of 2-3 years of extensive customer service experience, preferably in FMCG.
- Proven experience as a customer service representative or in a similar sales/customer service role.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully meeting sales targets, preferably over the phone.
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills with strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in relevant computer programs (e.g., CRM software) and telephone systems.
- Ability to quickly learn about products and services and effectively describe/explain them to prospective customers.
