Xavier Children's Support Network is part of the Catholic Archdiocese of Brisbane and has been operating in the disability services sector in Brisbane for over 60 years.  Xavier has a long and proud history of providing a range of high quality supports for children and young people with complex health and disability needs.

Xavier Place is a 6-bed short-term accommodation facility and is part of our suite of support services available for children and young people with complex needs.
We are seeking a special person to join our team in the newly created Housekeeper position. You will provide the highest level of service to our young clients who consider Xavier Place a ‘home away from home’.   Your positivity, enthusiasm, kindness and compassion will be highly regarded and will make a meaningful difference to the lives of others.
 
The Role requires:

  • Provision of quality housekeeping duties to support our clients and team members including cleaning, maintaining and re-stocking supplies, shopping, laundry services, record keeping and occasional cooking to meet the requirements of our young residents
  • Work between nine (9) and twelve (12) hours each week over three mornings (Monday to Friday) with some flexibility to assist with work-life balance
  • Comfortable using housekeeping equipment
  • Safe work practices and compliance with our policies and procedures

What we are looking for:

  • Prior hospitality experience in housekeeping including cleaning and laundry and record keeping
  • Ability to use online ordering platforms to order goods
  • Self-motivation, enthusiasm and kindness
  • A team player who is organised and able to work independently as required
  • Good communication, literacy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work according to the Xavier policies, procedures and values including:

    • o Promoting our vision of an inclusive environment and society
    • o Strive for excellence in all your work
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance and Blue Card (working with children check) or willingness to obtain together with any other suitability checks or certificates required by legislation or company policy
