As a Registered Nurse in Special Care Nursery your responsibilities will be to:
- To provide quality nursing care by Assessing, Planning, Implementing and evaluating individual patient and new born care.
- To provide a standard of care according to the individual’s level of experience and education maintaining high quality nursing care within a safe environment.
- To develop and utilise strategies that encourage an atmosphere conducive to effective communication.
- To work in partnership with patients and families in decision-making regarding provision of care promoting beneficial relationships.
- When required, working on other wards in the Hospital.
What you'll need to succeed
Essential Criteria:
- Current Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Minimum of 3 years Neonatal nursing level 2 nursery experience
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and unsupervised in the Special Care Nursery
- Working with Children check (if relevant)
- Commitment to Quality Patient Care
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
- Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Works well independently and within a team
- Intermediate computer skills
Desirable Criteria:
- Post graduate qualifications in Neonatal nursing (or working towards)

More Information:Our commitment to quality and safety for our patients, staff and visitors is our highest priority. Applicants will be required to provide a current National Police check (no more than 3 months old) and a current working with children check prior to appointment and persons in patient contact roles will be required to provide proof of immunity to specified infectious diseases as a Category A Healthcare worker.
Remuneration
If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF - NSW Nurses and Midwives' - Enterprise Agreement 2020- 2024, a salary ranging from $35.46 - $49.59 per hour.
