Job Title: Senior Cyber Security Risk Analyst

Contract: 6 month contract

Salary:  $87.51 - $93.45 per hour

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement improved assessment processes for maintaining an accurate risk picture of the ICT environment.
  • Engage with stakeholders across the University, government organisations, and industry partners to ensure a forward-leaning approach to security.
  • Provide guidance to ICT system owners, projects, and stakeholders on cybersecurity matters.
  • Supervise Cyber Security Risk Analysts.

Key Relationships:

  • Reports to the Chief Information Security Officer.
  • Collaborates with various university departments, external stakeholders, and government organisations.

Main Duties:

  1. Business Risk Management: Analyse security risks, evaluate the effectiveness of risk management strategies, and communicate complex risks to stakeholders.
  2. Business Process Improvement: Lead strategies for continuous improvement in ICT security delivery.
  3. Maintain Knowledge: Stay updated on relevant frameworks and guidelines.
  4. Stakeholder Management: Build relationships and engage stakeholders to develop ICT security policies.
  5. Leadership: Lead the team, manage resources, and mentor less experienced staff.

Qualifications:

  1. Education/Experience: Postgraduate qualifications or extensive relevant experience in Cyber Security.
  2. Communication Skills: Ability to communicate cyber security concepts effectively.
  3. Technical Skills: Practical knowledge of relevant frameworks and standards.
  4. Interpersonal Skills: Strong teamwork, customer service, and relationship-building skills.
  5. Leadership Experience: Experience leading and influencing teams toward common objectives.
