**Salary**: DCS Clerk grade 7/8, annual base salary starting at $101,947 plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

**About the Role**
We are currently looking for a Cyber Security Analyst to join our Infrastructure Security Team. This is a great opportunity to join a growing team and contribute to the success of Cyber Security NSW. The focus area for this role is vulnerability management. The responsibilities of this role will include projects, reviews, analysis, reporting and governance to encourage the improvement in cyber security resilience across NSW Government.

Your day-to-day key accountabilities:

- Develop, coordinate and maintain a schedule for discussions of vulnerabilities with NSW Government entities
- Engage in vulnerability discussions with internal and external stakeholders
- Coordinate scheduled and targeted vulnerability and other technical assessments with appropriate teams
- Analyse and assess scan results to produce timely and actionable reporting for stakeholders
- Use and manage systems to track the remediation of discovered vulnerabilities
- Produce timely and actionable reporting for stakeholders
- Keep an up to date understanding of cyber security terminology and concepts
- Participate in projects across the broader team as required
- Think critically and have the ability to develop and innovate strategic solutions

To be successful in this role you will need to:

- Have demonstrated strong experience and knowledge of Information Technology, Information Security and/or Cyber Security, including the principles, concepts and current trends
- Have a technical background administering networks, servers and desktops (desirable, but not essential)
- Understanding or management experience with vulnerability assessments and or penetration testing (desirable, but not essential)
- Be able to adapt quickly, continually working to keep your knowledge and skills up to date
- Have well-developed verbal and written communication skills including stakeholder engagement and professional correspondence
- Have good analytical and investigative skills
- Be willing to work flexibly in response to cyber incidents, project and other requirements
- Be able to proactively manage your own workload and tasks
- Have relevant qualifications (undergraduate degree and or industry certifications) in IT and or cyber security related discipline and working knowledge of cyber security (highly desirable)
- Have the ability to obtain and maintain a baseline security clearance and willingness to undergo a police check
