About the Role
The Visitor Research Officer will be responsible for analysing and interpreting data collected through the Visitor Survey program. This data drives and informs key strategic initiatives and aims to develop our level of understanding of visitors’ needs, expectations, and experiences in order to deliver authentic and positive experiences.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collate, analyse and interpret data obtained from a variety of internal and external sources, including visitor surveys and online reviews
- Identify trends and key insights
- Respond to visitor reviews posted on social media platforms
- Prepare monthly and ad-hoc reports
- Contribute to visitor and market research activities
- Coordinate and facilitate the monthly meeting of the Visitor Review Working Group
- Provide support and assistance as required under the direction of the Tourism Project manager and Project and Interpretations officer
- Other Tourism Project administration tasks as required

- Ability to think critically
- Proven experience in analysing and interpreting industry trends and their impact
- Excellent communication skills, enabling effective engagement with key stakeholders and the sharing of valuable insights.
- Organisational and time manage skills
- Intermediate Excel skills to ensure accurate reporting of data and the creation of graphs and charts
