The opportunity
As the Technology and Transformation Risk & Compliance Business Partner, you will work closely with the Netwealth IT and Transformation teams in a line 1.5 type role focused on check, challenge, oversight and support the implementation of risk and control, regulatory compliance and adherence to industry standards and best practices.
Key tasks include:
- Management of incidents, breaches and issues;
- Maintenance of risks, risk registers, KRIs and
- Design and operational effectiveness of controls
- Regulatory communications and engagement
- Line 2 assurance activities
- Board, Committee, Executive and Management risk and compliance reporting
- Maintenance of risk and compliance system, Protecht, records
A major initiative is underway to enhance and refine the technical risk taxonomy. Your involvement will be crucial in both implementing this initiative and ensuring its operational success.
About you
We are looking for an experienced IT Risk and Compliance professional who excels in providing proactive and solution-oriented support to their stakeholders. Ideally you have experience:
- Operate and leverage an Agile operating environment devoted to continuous deployment led by software engineers.
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand their objectives, processes and risks and provide advice and recommendations on risk and compliance matters.
- Conduct risk and compliance assessments, and check, challenge and oversee risk and compliance, including via line two assurance reviews to support the departments to comply with the Netwealth's risk and compliance framework, policies, and standards.
- Manage and escalate risk and compliance issues and incidents, and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely and effective resolution and remediation.
- Work with the relevant business stakeholders to formalise actions and treatment plans required to address incidents, breaches, issues/control weaknesses.
- Monitor and provide check, challenge and oversight of completion of action and treatment plans as they relate to incidents, breaches, issues/control weaknesses.
- Provide information and awareness on risk and compliance topics and requirements and foster a culture of risk and compliance awareness and accountability across the department.
- Prepare and present risk and compliance analysis, reports and dashboards, and communicate key findings, insights, and recommendations to Executive, management and relevant stakeholders.\
- Support SMEs within the Legal, Risk and Compliance department on communicating and implementing risk and compliance frameworks, policies, standard and processes.
