About the Role

In this newly created role, as Senior Medical Lead - Specialty, you'll sit on GSK Australia's Medical Leadership team, act as a representative at a global stakeholder level, and be responsible for GSKs Specialty Medical Strategy.

Your role will be varied and will include:

  • Interact with global governance structures, clearly articulating Australia's needs.
  • Pre-launch & Launch strategy, and pipeline assessments, with an initial focus on Hepatology
  • Use medical and technical expertise to liaise with external experts, health care professionals and scientific researchers
  • Provide medical and technical expertise to scientific submissions, and to marketing and sales.
  • Provide external insights to internal teams to assist in business, clinical development and strategic planning

About you?

To be successful in the role, you'll have a demonstrated track record in creating and executing complex pre-launch and launch medical strategies, ideally with scientific knowledge of the hepatology space. You'll demonstrate a growth mindset in demonstrating ways to improve quality and processes, timelines and other business solutions.

You’ll also bring:

  • Strong project management skills, with proven medical governance capability
  • Excellent communication skills, able to gather information and appropriately weight collaborative opinion from the wider business.
  • Ability to draw on a wide range of internal and external sources to find information & solutions
  • Experience in the hepatology therapeutic area, or related specialty space preferre
