About SASH: The Small Animal Specialist Hospital (SASH) was established 17 years ago and is now Australia’s largest and most advanced network of specialist veterinary hospitals. Our flagship facility in North Ryde is the largest referral hospital in the southern hemisphere. We proudly care for over 45,000 pets and their families annually across our hospitals, which include locations in North Ryde, the Central Coast, Adelaide, Western Sydney, and Alexandria, with new hospitals opening soon in Northern Beaches and the Gold Coast.

The Opportunity: we are seeking a skilled IT Support Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in cloud and SaaS applications, virtualisation technologies (Hyper-V or VMWare), backup systems, and desktop security. Familiarity with ITIL and strong customer service skills are essential to excel in this role. As an IT Support Engineer at SASH, you will play a crucial role in delivering comprehensive IT support across multiple locations.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Resolving IT issues within SLA time frames to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
  • Managing events, overseeing new hire logistics, and facilitating office reconfigurations.
  • Logging and managing support tickets while participating in incident and problem management processes.
  • Creating and maintaining documentation and user guides, contributing to the knowledge base for team reference.
  • Taking on additional IT projects aligned with your interests and opportunities for professional growth.
  • Traveling to other SASH network sites as needed to provide on-site support.

 
Specific Accountabilities:

  • Setting up and supporting PCs, mobile devices, and desk phones for end users.
  • Assisting in managing IT infrastructure, including basic server tasks, network connectivity, and printer upkeep.
  • Administering Active Directory and Microsoft Office 365 accounts.
  • Providing Level 1 support for internal business applications.
  • Negotiating with vendors for IT products and services.
  • Keeping IT inventories up to date and creating training documents for new hires.
