What are we looking for?

Exciting times in our National Information Technology (IT) team as we seek a Senior Test Analyst to join us in Melbourne.  This opportunity will be full time with plenty of scope for flexible work across both home and office.

Reporting to a Senior Project Lead this is a critical role in which you will be responsible for defining and executing test strategies, implementing QA processes and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions.   This opportunity combines deep domain knowledge with strong leadership skills to establish and mature the applications quality assurance capability.  In addition to these outcomes, you will actively participate across team initiatives, uplift engagement and enablement across the wider IT and Project team. 

Other key responsibilities will include:

  • Test Planning and Strategy: Review and analyse system specifications in conjunction with business requirements, formulate testing strategy, objectives and quality acceptance criteria 
  • Test Execution: Write and execute manual test cases, coordinate and execute UAT, and conduct post-release/post-implementation testing 
  • Test Reporting: Collect test results, create test execution reports and work with the Business Analyst to ensure requirements traceability is evidenced 
  • Quality Assurance Processes: Implement and maintain QA processes and procedures to ensure high-quality deliverables, this may involve creating and enforcing standards, best practices and guidelines for the QA team 
  • Test Automation: oversee the creation and maintenance of automated test scripts and frameworks to streamline the testing process and improve efficiency 
  • Test Execution: coordinate and oversee the execution of test cases and test suites that involves monitoring test progress, identifying issues and ensuring that testing outcomes are successfully delivered 
  • Defect Management: managing the defect tracking process, including logging, prioritising and resolving defects; and working closely with developers and other stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of issues 
  • Engagement & Continuous Improvement: lead and participate in initiatives which contribute positively to team culture and improve ways of working.
