We are seeking a full time Payroll Officer to join our Head Office team located in Bunbury.  This role and will suit a person with considerable payroll and finance experience.

As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for the full payroll functions and also have dedicated finance tasks including responsibilities for month-end processing, reconciliations and reporting.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the following:

  • Weekly payroll processing for 500+ employees (salaries and wages payroll)
  • Processing, management and lodgement of Superannuation
  • Payroll tax processing and timely lodgement
  • Weekly PAYG payment reports and reconciliation 
  • Monthly calculation and processing of leave entitlements (annual leave and LSL)
  • Management of child support processing and monthly payments
  • Month end payroll reporting, reconciliation and journals for all payroll related accounts

We would be very interested to see resumes from potential candidates who can demonstrate previous experience in a similar role with payroll and finance experience. Working within the transport industry will be beneficial, however this is not essential.

We are only seeking applications from those people who can demonstrate the ability to meet the following Essential Selection Criteria:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in the same or a similar role
  • Significant payroll experience
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Sound understanding of accounting principles
  • Advanced Excel Skills - including formulas, pivot tables and data manipulation
  • Utilise software within the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) at an advanced level
  • Communicate effectively with others at all levels of the business
  • Sustain a positive attitude and outlook within the workplace
