We are currently in search of a dynamic full-time Payroll Officer to join our dedicated team at our Head Office in Bunbury. This role is perfect for an individual with substantial experience in payroll and finance.

As a vital member of our finance department, you will oversee all aspects of payroll functions and also handle specific finance tasks such as month-end processing, reconciliations, and reporting.

The ideal candidate will be accountable for the following:

  • Processing weekly payroll for 500+ employees (salaries and wages)
  • Handling, managing, and lodging Superannuation contributions
  • Conducting payroll tax processing and ensuring timely lodgement
  • Generating weekly PAYG payment reports and carrying out reconciliations
  • Calculating and processing monthly leave entitlements (annual leave and LSL)
  • Supervising child support processing and making monthly payments
  • Preparing month-end payroll reports, reconciliations, and journals for all payroll-related accounts

We welcome applications from individuals who can showcase prior experience in a similar role involving payroll and finance responsibilities. While experience within the transport sector is advantageous, it is not a mandatory requirement.

We are specifically looking for candidates who meet the following Essential Selection Criteria:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a relevant role
  • Extensive payroll expertise
  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
  • Solid grasp of accounting principles
  • Advanced Excel Skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data manipulation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software suite at an advanced level
  • Effective communication skills across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and approach in the workplace

The successful candidate must prioritize safety and will need to undergo a pre-employment medical assessment and comply with random drug testing on-site.
