Aboutthe role
The primarypurpose of the Data and Information Advisor is to support Councilmaintain compliance with the Information Management Frameworkthrough providing a range of data and information managementconsultancy functions across Council. This role has keyaccountabilities to engage with key stakeholders as a trustedpartner to communicate process information or changes to data andinformation management to ensure awareness, and that appropriateaction is taken in a consistent manner.
The Data& Information Advisor position will be focused on thecoordinating and facilitating the prioritisation and implementationof information updates to enhance the quality of insights generatedfrom the information management framework whilst maintaining dataintegrity of Council’s registry to ensure changes and updatesare made in a timely manner.
This positionplays a key role in supporting improving and maturing informationmanagement across Council and working collaboratively acrossCouncil to champion our purpose of Growing Townsville and todeliver the Corporate Plan in consultation with the TownsvilleCommunity.
Aboutyou
Our idealapplicant will have relevant industry experience to undertake therole and a minimum of 5+ years’ extensive experience in asimilar position, supporting, improving, promoting, and maturingdata and information management across a large multi-disciplinedorganisation.
You will havestrong experience providing effective information managementconsultancy / partnering services / change support, training, andinstructional design in, and advising on data and informationmanagement processes, procedures, policies, responsibilities, andbest-practices. Strong understanding of adult learning principles,with demonstrated experience designing and delivering training andartefacts with multiple delivery techniques for a diverseorganisation, is required to undertake this role.
You will haveexperience in the following: managing small projects, providinghigh level advice on policy / practice, multi-faceted stakeholdermanagement, maintaining data quality frameworks and strongknowledge in information management legislation with a provenability in interpreting and translating technical information andexperience in
