About the role

This position is an integral part of the SeaLink South Australia Marketing Team, working in a highly collaborative environment to promote iconic brands within the Australian tourism industry.

Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Manager, South Australia, and working closely with the Digital Marketing Coordinator, this exciting role has a broad range of marketing touchpoints providing a great opportunity to spread your wings as a marketing professional.

Your typical working day will include the coordination and execution of marketing and advertising plans, managing sponsorship and community programs, assisting with delivering events, creating content, communications, and creative production and design for our South Australian brands; SeaLink Kangaroo Island, Murray Princess, Adelaide Sightseeing.

The successful applicant will need to display a high level of organizational and time management skills, excellent communication and copywriting skills, attention to detail, be results driven, and have a strong desire to work collaboratively as part of a team.

About You

  • Passion for sales and marketing
  • Highly organised and exceptional multi-tasker 
  • Ability to prioritise work under tight deadlines in an agile environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate and high-quality work
  • Great team player with a ‘can do’ personality and spirit
  • Excellent communication skills including copywriting e.g. blogs, social posts, brochures, and internal and external communications
  • Good interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Self-motivated and results driven

Key requirements complimented by experience and skills:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a marketing or business discipline - essential
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills - essential
  • Experience in a similar marketing role – essential
  • Experience and skilled at use of Adobe Suite including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator - essential
  • Experience in design and content development - essential
  • Experience managing sponsorships and events - desirable
  • Experience working with various social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube
  • Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Experience with campaign management or CRM system – desirable
  • Experience in the Tourism or Events Industry – desirable

This role will ideally suit a person who is ready to expand on their marketing skills where variety and building relationships are essential. 

This role requires energy, commitment, initiative, teamwork, multi-skilling, time management, and preparedness for the unexpected.
