Role Description/Criteria

This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate or early career teacher to be part of a forward-thinking school dedicated to the professional growth of its staff and the overall wellbeing of its students. Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the full-time position of classroom teacher, commencing 28th January 2025. 

Successful applicants will possess the skills and abilities necessary to:

• build positive relationships with students, staff and parents

• implement contemporary, research-informed teaching and learning practices

• use data effectively to improve student outcomes and enhance student wellbeing

• work collaboratively within a team to ensure a high quality education for every student

• support the Catholic ethos, school vision and strategic plan of the school

The successful candidate will be appropriately qualified, hold Victorian Institute of Teaching Registration and accreditation to teach in a Catholic school (or be willing to obtain this accreditation) and must have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children.

Salary and conditions are implemented according to the Catholic Education Multi Enterprise Agreement (CEMEA) 2022. 

Please note: St Thomas More Primary School is a Child Safe school promoting the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all children. Applicants must have an understanding of the Victorian Child Safe Standards, which underpin our school's Vision and Mission.
