The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Heavy Commercial Mechanic to join the team at Recar Brisbane

You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy vehicles, including trucks, and trailers, to ensure their optimal performance and reliability. Your expertise in diesel engines, mechanical systems, and diagnostics will contribute to our commitment to delivering exceptional service to our clients.

Role responsibilities

  • Diagnose damaged suspension parts and mechanical components
  • Dismantle and fit new mechanical and suspension parts
  • Quality control and inspection of vehicles
  • Test driving vehicles to ensure they meet quality repair standards
  • Label parts and store as per Workshop standards
  • Check new parts are correct and undamaged
  • Perform any adaptations based on completed diagnoses
  • Clean work bay and workshop areas

  • Experienced and trained as a qualified Mechanic (Essential)
  • Experience in the heavy smash industry (Desirable)
  • HR Truck Licence (Desirable)
  • Strong commitment to safety
  • Desire to grow and build skills with out of the box approach
  • Good attitude, with excellent communication skills
  • High attention to detail and process driven
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in your approach to work
