The Role
As an Associate within our ESG division, you'll support the Corporate Finance & Advisory team in the delivery of high quality advice and transaction outcomes for our clients.
You will report to the Director of ESG, Corporate Finance, and will be expected to collaborate with other members of the Corporate Finance team and key client stakeholders to achieve successful outcome for both our clients and Jarden as a firm.
Key responsibilities:
Assistance on a range of M&A and capital markets transactions, and strategic and valuation advisory assignments, primarily in the energy infrastructure and Public-Private Partnership (PPP) sectorDevelopment of comprehensive financial models including models tailored to renewable energy assets, to inform valuation, strategic decision making, and transaction-related advicePerform a range of valuation methods: comparable companies, precedent transactions, DCF and LBO analysisPrepare and review materials relevant to advisory and transaction assignments (e.g. Information Memoranda, Investor Presentations, Board Reports)Conduct thorough independent research on industries and companies as relevant, to inform strategic recommendationsCapable of complex, structured problem solving, including identifying key issues in addressing challenges; options development and assessment; and the formulation of clear, well-reasoned recommendations.Develop relationships with clients through active involvement in transactions and other assignmentsMaintain appropriate documentation and procedures to ensure compliance with internal processes and applicable rules and regulationsAbout You
You will be a competent, confident individual with the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment. You will be interacting with colleagues and clients so strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential. You will have the confidence and communication skills to present directly to clients and communicate with transaction counter-parties.
In addition, you have:
Experience in investment banking, corporate finance or a relevant business backgroundRelevant tertiary qualification, or equivalent education, training and work-related experienceProven analytical and quantitative skills (strong financial modelling skills preferred)Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and PowerPointIn return, we can offer you a great company and team culture within our growing firm, and exciting long-term career prospects.
