- About the role
- Transurban has a multi-billion dollar pipeline and portfolio of assets. As an Associate in the Corporate Finance team, you will contribute to future proofing our business. Using your financial modelling skills and analytical insight, you’ll provide information and analysis which are fit for Transurban’s executive committee and board to lean on and make decisions, both on our existing assets and on future investments.

- Day-to-day, you will:
- Ensure our business is fit for the future through the preparation of valuation and transaction impact related materials and reports for: 1) current assets, ongoing development projects and our potential future investments 2) corporate metrics, including capital structure and company defence strategy-
- Create, review, update and manage the financial models for new projects, financing or refinancing transactions-
- Work collaboratively with other areas of the business in the analysis of business cases, operational initiatives and advise management on the impacts to the Transurban valuation, capital structure and cost of capital-
- Build your project management and commercial acumen in the context of mergers & acquisitions transactionsThis role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including:
- Strong and proven ability to work with and build complex 3-statement financial models (including use of macros)-
- Experience in new business development, implementation and corporate finance, acquisition, investment, capital raising and divestment transactions-
- An analytical mind enabling you to think outside the box and undertake appropriate reviews and financial assessments of projects-
- Outstanding financial and commercial analysis skills, including excellent spreadsheet and data analysis skills-
- Demonstrate an inquisitive and eager-to-learn attitude, you’ll possess the ability to grasp ideas and concepts within a toll road environment-
- Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, ensuring the precision of compiled information for informed stakeholder decision-making-
- Adaptable and collaborative, you excel in both teamwork and independent work-
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with ability to present ideas, findings and recommendations in a clear and engaging way, in both written and verbal form-
- Demonstrates a strong work ethic, thrives in challenging roles with enthusiasm, and exhibits high levels of motivation and drive-
