In this role you will be embedded in SA Water working on behalf of the community to improve safety, reliability, cost and communication

The Opportunity

As a Project Engineer you will be integrated into SA Watersupporting a large portfolio ofwater and wastewater infrastructure programs. Influencing and collaborating amongst an extensive stakeholdergroup of construction partners, vendors, regulators andinternal teams will be critical as you drive multiple projectsto beneficial outcomes. Our collective goal is to deliver an efficient capital works program and infrastructure projects from inception to close out - safely, on time, within budget and to customer and community expectations.

As a key member of this team, you will be required to:

Assist with multi-disciplinary project teams of internal and external subject matter experts and delivery partners 

Contribute to a portfolio of projects or programs aredelivered safely, on time and in accordance with cost, technical, environmental, operational, and social requirements.

Contribute to the progress of design development, procurement, construction,approvals and commissioning phases across several concurrent projects through a variety of contractual models.

Contribute to the improvement of project and program management capabilities and systems 

Identify improvements in processes or practices that show a benefit to themselves or the team.

Who are you?

To succeed in this opportunityyou will have experience managing projects in complex environments. We will have different projects focused on civil, mechanical and electrical. Client side or owners engineering would be ideal but not essential.

Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Project Managementor relevant industry experience.

Demonstrated experience as a Project Engineer, understanding scope, risk,scheduling, cost, and construction management is desirable

Demonstrated communication/reporting skills and experience in working with a broad range of stakeholders

Understanding of various delivery/contractual models and legislative WHS requirements

Good written and verbal communication skills with accuracy in reporting
