Our client is an active Sydney based family office with a range of investment strategies within its wider portfolio. The role sits within the Property investment team, working across opportunistic private credit deals. The fund can invest with mezzanine and preferred equity positions as well as first and second mortgages. The role will work closely with the existing Investment Manager. The fund has invested over half a billion AUD into the Australian Real Estate market, ticket sizes are generally sub $50mio AUD in size and are geography (within Australia) and sector agnostic. Return hurdles targeted are 15-20% IRR. The role enables candidates at a junior level to have exposure to borrowers and capital partners from day one. You will be responsible for all parts of origination, execution and portfolio management. This provides excellent training and development opportunities for a future as an investor in Australian real estate.

We are seeking candidates with 2 – 4 years’ professional experience post graduating. This should be in either private debt or real estate transaction related roles. It is likely that the candidate background will be from within big four banks’ property financing teams, non-bank lenders, professional services firms within debt advisory or real estate advisory and/or investment banking. The candidate must have seen transactions end-to-end, be familiar with financial due diligence, documentation and real estate investing. This is a small nimble team, so candidates must be proactive in nature, humble, eager to learn, and a team player.
