The Opportunity: 

  • This role can be based in any of our offices across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Hobart, Devonport and Launceston.
  • Build strong relationships with clients as well as environmental and water related disciplines to deliver projects;
  • Technical stewardship of the pitt&sherry Maritime Structures Team;
  • Technical review of deliverables to ensure output of a technically high standard;
  • Mentoring and managing a small team of junior team members;
  • Management, either technical management or project management as a technical lead of a variety of engineering projects across the country;
  • Delivering coastal infrastructure projects including feasibility studies, condition assessments, design of coastal structures;
  • Building strong relationships with clients to expand our presence in the Maritime sector.
  • Complete site visits as required.

What you bring: 

  • An experienced engineer with extensive technical experience in maritime structures and ports;
  • An ability to draw on strong engineering foundations to resolve technical challenges;
  • A desire to provide technical leadership to the Maritime and Coastal team.
  • Strong technical and numerical modelling skills to solve complex problems efficiently and effectively, delivery cost effective, high performance solutions for our clients;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to translate discipline specific engineering concepts into language that can be understood by clients and colleagues;
  • Experience with Strand7 and Spacegass or equivalent packages;
  • Experience with SwanOne, SWAN – GUI, DELFT3D, IH2VOF, XBEACH, or equivalent packages will be viewed favourably, however such experience is not mandatory.
