As a Platform Engineer you’ll excel in designing and implementing complex cloud-based systems, focusing on automation and continuous integration in intricate environments. You’ll proactively ensure that their solutions align with broader strategic goals, emphasizing scalability, resilience, and long-term viability. Driven by a bias towards action, you’ll leverage your expertise to create robust and future-proof platforms. 

What you’ll do

Drive the delivery, engineering decisions, and platform solutions to align with long-term strategic architectural visionEnsure platforms, systems, and services are engineered for resilience and scalability to achieve service objectivesIdentify, develop, and implement automation or optimization opportunities, focusing on cost, availability, and performanceContribute to large-scale platform and service implementations from inception to production, maintaining quality documentation and procedures for ongoing supportShare knowledge and collaborate with team members to maximize skills and capabilitiesSimplify processes while driving innovation, supporting continuous improvement, and enabling teams to adapt quickly to changes

What you’ll bring

Tertiary qualification in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Information TechnologyAWS Associate or Professional Certification is highly desirableAt least 2 years of industry experience in large enterprise organizationsStrong scripting skills, particularly with Python, and extensive experience with cloud services (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS)Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including negotiation and influencing abilitiesDemonstrated ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and trends, work collaboratively in innovative team environments, and lead through transformational changes
