Neerigen Brook Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool of dedicated and innovative Deputy Principals for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2024 school year to the end of Term 2, 2025. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2024 school year to the end of Term 2, 2025.

Suitable applicants will manage and lead the staff and students by providing instructional and curriculum leadership under the direction of the Principal. A classroom teaching component is embedded in this role. In collaboration with the Principal and members of the Executive Leadership Team, the Deputy Principal provides educational leadership in the school and the community by developing and promoting the school vision and establishing strong relationships with students, staff and the community.

Suitable applicants will ideally possess an understanding of the structure of Independent Public Schools and exhibit strong skills in curriculum, school operations, behaviour education and pastoral care.

Neerigen Brook PS is an Independent Public School located in the centre of Armadale, 36km south east of Perth and caters for children from Kindergarten to Year 6. To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following work related requirements:

Capacity to provide effective leadership in a diverse range of educational settings; High level of interpersonal and public relations skills that demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships to achieve planned outcomes; Professional knowledge and the ability to apply this knowledge to ensure a high level of educational outcomes for all students (e.g. Aboriginal students, students from diverse ethnic backgrounds and students with special needs). Capacity to manage staff, physical and financial resources.
