What does the job look like?

Linfox Retail business is seeking a reliable and experienced Shunt Driver to join our dynamic team. This role primarily involves operating a shunt within our yard, with occasional store delivery responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and teamwork. This is a casual role/ad-hoc role, so flexibility and availability across the week is essential. Key areas:

Driving the commitment to Linfox Safety Standards at all times, and ensuring that Vision Zero is a daily focus.Complying with the Linfox coupling and uncoupling procedure plus the ability to work unsupervised.Able to assist in loading and unloading when required.Good knowledge of Chain of Responsibility and road transport legislation.Safely operate a shunt around the yard to move trailers and containers as required.Ensure the efficient and timely transfer of trailers within the yard.Conduct pre-operational checks on shunt equipment and vehicles.Occasionally complete store deliveries as directed.Maintain accurate records of trailer movements and delivery schedules.
