The Company We Keep is looking for an experienced Midweight Designer to join our team, creating extraordinary stories for us in house and for our clients. 

Working closely with our producers and design team, you will be a self-starter and love delivering the best possible solutions, including broadcast quality pieces, for all of our projects. You are inquisitive, approachable and inclusive. 

You will enjoy working in a fast-paced agency environment with a hugely talented team, in addition to incredible partners and customers.

The Role We Offer

  • The role of mid-weight graphic designer involves creative delivery of design assets from brief to concept to final art across a wide variety of projects. These include print, signage, event collateral, swag, and storyboards for animation.
  • Design and develop high-quality brand assets and communications materials, executing layout, illustration and design and ensuring all design adheres to the brief, specifications, style and brand guidelines.
  • Taking ownership of a brief from concept through to final delivery; creating design solutions for brand engagements, activations and strategic campaigns for our clients.
  • Developing brand guidelines, creative toolkits, design templates, and visual design solutions.
  • Working across print, digital marketing campaigns, brand guidelines, virtual and live events and broadcast
  • Championing creativity across the wider team.
  • Sydney based role with remote flexibility

The Experience You’ll Bring

  • Degree level education or equivalent experience in design or related discipline
  • 3-5 years’ minimum industry experience 
  • Solid experience as a best-practice midweight designer with a strong portfolio that demonstrates creative thinking and high quality design solutions across a broad range of projects and communications

The Skills We Need

  • Ability to problem solve and think creatively, assist the creative and wider team in developing concepts and ideas to put into action across multiple disciplines
  • Experience with engaging and impactful design techniques for digital, print and live events. 
  • Understanding of animation and environment (3D) design.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (Indesign, Photoshop and Illustrator), G Suite and Microsoft (specifically Powerpoint). Illustration skills a bonus
  • Basic experience with After Effects and Figma
  • Experience with file preparation for small and large scale print production, and digital assets
  • Knowledge of Ui and UX design
  • Accept and act on constructive feedback and endeavour to improve and grow in your

  • Effective client collaboration skills, coordinating a range of projects and multiple changes
  • Ensuring all design adheres to the brief, specifications and brand guidelines  
  • An ability to work quickly and methodically to meet deadlines with a never settle attitude
