A unique opportunity has become available for a dedicated and friendly Concierge to join our dynamic team at Carmelite Retirement Living in Myrtle Bank. 

About the role


The Concierge serves as a liaison between Southern Cross Care and the residents, families and guests of Carmelite Retirement Living. This key role is the first impression of our prestigious retirement & residential premises and requires that an exceptional customer experience is guaranteed.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

Providing administration support for all villages that are managed by the Senior
Manager Retirement Living, Lourdes Valley Providing assistance to retirement residents, act as a point of reference for planning
events and booking outings and arranging transportation Providing assistance with first level technology trouble shooting Ensuring the scheduling of programmed maintenance and repairs to achieve
sustainability of the built environment and equipment Regularly communicating with residents on relevant issues to ensure their needs
are being met and/or exceeded on a regular basis Reporting on any upgrading and/or replacement of assets / equipment
required to maintain or improve service efficiencies In liaison with the Resident groups, assisting with developing and running activity
programmes

About you

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

Proven experience in a customer service role in one or more of the following areas; Retirement Living, Events, Activities, Hospitality and/or Accommodation Demonstrated commitment to meeting the needs of both internal and external customers Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills including ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders  Strong organisational and time management skills Ability to efficiently respond to clients' needs and manage expectations Ability to listen and adapt communication to audience Proficient computer skills and the ability to use Google Suite including Docs, Sheets, Gmail etc., as well as various in-house databases
