About the role
We are seeking an experienced and collaborative Senior Data Analyst to join Alinta Energy’s Data Science and Analytics team. This role will see you at the forefront of delivering innovative solutions that drive value across Alinta's Customer Retail, Trading, Power Generation, IT, and Corporate teams. This role requires a balance of exceptional technical capability and acumen and a natural flair for building trusted relationships with multiple stakeholders. This role is supported by a mature Data Platforms team of data engineers, governance and BA support functions.

What you’ll do
Develop predictive models for energy demand, pricing and grid stability as well as performing complex analyses on large-scale energy data setsCollaborate with business teams, data scientists and engineers to define data science, advanced analytics and automation driven solutionsWorking with end-user teams to develop and define their Data Science initiativesPromote best practices for advanced data analysis in a DataBricks environmentBuild strong relationships with business stakeholders, ensuring your insights are presented clearly and drive impactful actionsYour experience
Expertise in the DataBricks platform and a solid understanding of advanced analytics, machine learning, and automationStrong ability to translate business requirements into data-driven solutions and present complex data insights effectivelyKnowledge of data lakehouse concepts and ETL processesStrong understanding of statistical analysis and data mining techniquesStrong communication and presentation abilitiesThis role is best suited to someone who excited by the prospect of applying their expertise in DataBricks to help the business navigate the challenges of developing data products in a highly regulated environment.
