Operator (Autoclave)

The Opportunity

Veolia is currently seeking an enthusiastic Autoclave Operator to join our East Arm waste facility. In this role you will process clinical and Bio-Security waste at Veolia’s EPA licenced waste processing facility.

This is a permanent full-time opportunity.

What you'll be responsible for

  • Process clinical and Bio-Security waste from customer sites, which includes frequent manual handling.

  • Maintain the compliance with Approved Regulatory Arrangements 

  • Operate machinery - Autoclave, Shredder and boiler

  • Ensure disposal of waste is always within safe operating procedures and contract requirements

  • Resolve any incidents relating to the contract service levels, ensuring the Depot Manager is kept informed

  • Ensure processing area and factory premises is left neat and tidy

What you'll need to be successful

  • Forklift licence

  • Previous experience in the waste industry preferred but not essential

  • Car Licence
